Local Employment Dynamics (LED) LED combines demographic data with participating states' wage records
(NY currently is not participating) to provide a powerful tool to analyze local labor markets. This information can be very valuable to WIBs as they customize reports to be responsive to the needs of partners and employers in their area.

(NASWA)
The NASWA is the national organization of state administrators of
unemployment insurance, employment and training services, and labor market
information programs in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto
Rico.
The mission of NASWA is to strengthen the National Workforce Development System through advocacy, liaison and information exchange.

(NAWB)
NAWB represents business-led Workforce Boards that plan
and oversee state and local workforce development and job
training programs.

(NYATEP)
The New York Association of Training and Employment Professionals (NYATEP) is the organization that promotes, enhances, and serves the interests of local workforce investment agencies and system partners in New York State. NYATEP represents the thirty-three Workforce Investment Areas who administer the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) programs, as well as other federal, State and local workforce development initiatives across New York State.

The CareerZone website brings together multiple sources of
career and labor market information to make career exploration and
planning for the future a little easier. Students can explore occupations, Jobseekers can use skills checklist to explore jobs and view up-to-date job postings in America's Job Bank and educators can explore the lesson plan database.
New York State Department of Labor
The New York State Department of Labor is New York State’s primary advocate for job creation and economic growth through workforce development. The Department of Labor serves as the State’s principal source for labor market information and offers a variety of services designed to help businesses find workers and people find jobs.
New York State Eligible Training Providers List (NYS-ETPL)
The New York State Eligible Training Provider List was
established in compliance with Title 1 of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
of 1998. The purpose of the ETPL is to present a broad and diverse
selection of training choices to support employment goals of
individuals.
Inclusion on the NYS-ETPL, in itself, does not guarantee that WIA funds
are available for enrollment in an eligible offering.

This private business membership association is comprised of both large and small businesses, as well as private individuals. It is independent of national and local Chambers, but supports their missions and goals. Although the Chamber is not a government agency, it works to foster a healthy relationship between government and the business community.
State Agencies Prepare for the Impact of An Aging New York
A white paper discussion: Preparing for demographic change is a formidable and risky task, as predicting the
future is not clear-cut. New York State is undertaking this task. The
efforts presented in this paper represent the best efforts of New York
State government agencies to predict the changes within their missions
in the hope of effectively serving older New Yorkers and a more diverse
New York in the future.
